John Deere grass collection systems serve many purposes for both the appearance and the health of your lawn. To quickly pick up debris and maintain a clean yard during mowing season, bagging is the solution. At the end of the season, a bagger can help make fall leaf cleanup a breeze. Additionally, if you compost, bagging grass clippings offers easy access to a great source of compostable material. Here are some of John Deere’s grass collection system options.
Grass Collection Systems – Baggers/Material Collection Systems
John Deere bagger kits typically include the hopper, chute, blower assembly and bagging blades. Kit materials vary depending on kit model. All kits can be installed without tools in minutes. These baggers are easy to empty and are also commonly known as a material collection system (MCS).
Twin baggers, also known as double baggers, feature two durable bags that provide a spacious capacity. The hopper loose-knit bags allow more air to flow through to provide complete bag filling in wet and heavy grass conditions. The hopper design provides clean operation, and a convenient bungee cord fastener to easily open and close the hopper.
The baggers are easy to empty. Monitor your bag filling progress through a window; see light coming through the loose-knit bag or watch for grass lying against it.
The hopper lid stays open while you empty the bags. The bags slide out with a pull of the handles and the hopper cover automatically latches when you close it.
Grass Collection Systems – Dump Baggers
John Deere dump baggers, or dump hoppers, eliminate the need to get off your mower and empty the bags. It increases both efficiency and cleanliness during the mowing process.
The aluminum body is lightweight and easy to handle. It’s designed with a conveniently located hand lever and smooth release and latching system, both are easily accessed from the mower seat.
Grass Collection Systems – Utility Carts
Utility carts are designed to haul a variety of materials and are designed and painted to be compatible with other John Deere equipment such as tractors and zero turn riders.
Utility carts can be used to haul a variety of materials including firewood, dirt, sand, and mulch as well as garden tools, and plants and bushes.
They provide excellent stability during use. The wide wheelbase adds stability to the trailer on uneven ground and while turning. The tethered hitch pin eliminates the chance of losing the pin and has the strength to handle pulling heavy loads over rough terrain.
